live portraiture
I love public-facing work. I usually do this at council-run festivals and events.
How it works: Attendees can approach me to sit for a portrait (not a classic caricature, usually, but a drawn portrait).
After bit of Q and A and some banter as I draw, they leave with a bright, original picture to keep. I carry this out as a performance and not a stall, so they keep their portraits free of charge.
